– This feels great and, of course, it strengthens us in our future work. The Visions Award is an established price that we treasure a lot – these are the comments of Trollhättan’s Cultural Affairs Manager Christer Olsson.
Culture and Leisure Committee Chairwoman Carina Lorentzon, Executive Director Benny Wising, Cultural Affairs Manager Christer Olsson and Visions Representative Åsa Lundh Dahlqvist were all present when last year’s winner, Olofström, handed over the prize to Trollhättan, which could call itself The Cultural Municipality throughout 2014.
– For us, participation is a guiding star. All citizens should have the opportunity to participate in cultural activities, says Christer Olsson, who also mentions two of the town’s flagships as contributing factors for being awarded the title.
– It is difficult to overlook our investments in N3 and Kronan. I am convinced that these two cultural venues have played a role in the decision-making process of the jury, says Olsson.
The price consisted of a work of art, “Caravanic” by the artist Frédéric Iriarte.
