The Swedish Championship in Indoor Rowing

In late January Trollhättan was the host for about 150 indoor rowers who were here to compete for the prestigious Swedish Championship Trophy.

Participants were juniors, seniors, professional athletes and amateurs. The goal of several of the Swedish professional athletes was to qualify for the Olympics in Rio in 2016.

The Swedish Championship in indoor rowing in Trollhättan was part one in a two part race where the final will take place in Stockholm on March 14.

During the day of the race people who normally do not compete in rowing had a chance to compete in “The Challenge” which is a relay, 4 x 500 meters. Read more about “The Challenge” here.
